Before the work-from-home took effect, my mornings were a bit hectic: I woke up at 4:45am, packed lunches, packed the car, got Daphne ready, and was out the door by 6:00am. Now that life has slowed down a bit, I’ve been able to spend more time in the kitchen experimenting with new recipes.
I’ll admit, I wasn’t the brains behind this one: Alan came up with it yesterday morning. He’s always had a knack for putting ingredients together and coming up with unique combinations.
This is a refreshing smoothie that was surprisingly filling. I really enjoy the ginger, but I think you could also use mint in place of the ginger for a different flavor. If you make this, tag me and let me know what you think!
Ingredients:
- 2 cups fresh blackberries
- 1 tablespoon of ginger paste
- 1 cup plant-based milk
- 1 banana
- 1 cup of ice
- 1 tablespoon of honey or brown sugar
- sliced orange as a garnish
Combine all ingredients in the blender and blend until smooth. Makes about 2 servings.
I also love that Daphne shares my love for smoothies!
