Hi friends! Hope you all had a great weekend. We visited some friends at their camp on the Allegheny River. It was so nice to relax, sit in the sunshine, and forget about this crazy world for a while.
Today I wanted to talk about yogurt bowls. Greek yogurt bowls are one of my fav breakfasts, anyone else agree?
They’re filling and tasty, but it’s scary how easily they can become overloaded with calories and sugar. I tracked one of my custom yogurt bowls recently and was shocked to discover it was almost 700 calories! Yikes!
As I’ve mentioned before, I follow a 40/30/30 macros split for carbs, protein, and fats. This bowl is pretty close to my macros goals with 42g carbs, 27g fat, and 31g protein. Here’s what’s in it!
- 1 cup nonfat Greek yogurt
- 2T walnuts
- 1T chia seeds
- 1/2 cup strawberries
- 1/2 cup honeydew
- 1/2 kiwi
I like to finish it off with a drizzle of organic honey before eating. What are your favorite ingredients to add to a yogurt bowl?
