Blackberry Ginger Pick-Me-Up Smoothie

Anyone else need a mid-week recharge? The ginger in this smoothie might help! I’m off work tomorrow, but this week still feels super long. My glucose tolerance test yesterday was unpleasant (as to be expected) and I couldn’t shake the headache and tiredness all day.

Anyways, this is a refreshing smoothie that is also surprisingly filling. I really enjoy the ginger, but I think you could also use mint in place of the ginger for a different flavor. If you make it, let me know what you think!

▪️ 2 cups fresh blackberries
▪️ 1 tablespoon ginger paste
▪️ 1 cup plant-based milk
▪️ 1 banana
▪️ 1 cup of ice
▪️ 1 tablespoon of honey or brown sugar
▪️ sliced orange garnish

Combine all ingredients in the blender and blend until smooth. Makes about 2 servings.
