It’s a new week and it’s almost September! Can you believe it? We’ve had a few 90-degree days here in Pennsylvania but I’ve noticed the leaves are starting to change and fall.
My Sunday run was great! Alan and I have been running every Sunday to get ready for two races we have coming up: a Tough Mudder in October, and the Rocky Run in Philadelphia in November. This weekend, we ran 4 miles with an average pace of about 12:20 minutes a mile. It’s not fast, but I’m working to improve every week.

Here are 3 things you should know about as we head into Monday.
Magic Spoon Cereal
I haven’t bought cereal in a few weeks now – it’s too high in carbs and doesn’t fit my eating plan.
I miss it sometimes, though. I recently found Magic Spoon Cereal on Instagram and I’m eager to give it a try! It’s a low-sugar, high-protein, grain-free and wheat-free cereal line. They have flavors like fruity, cinnamon, frosted, and more.

Women’s Best Sale
Women’s Best is having a “summer is ending” sale – select workout sets and nutrition products are up to 30% off.
I ended up ordering the Move Seamless Set in Gray Marl. There are still plenty of sizes available!
Tone and Tighten Diastasis Recti Workout
I was diagnosed with mild diastasis recti during my 6-week postpartum checkup. If you’re unfamiliar with this condition, it’s basically an abdominal separation that occurs sometimes after pregnancy. If I lay flat, I can feel about a one-finger-width ab separation near my bellybutton.
Diastasis recti can be tricky because the usual ab workouts – crunches, planks, etc. – don’t work to fix the problem.
I found the Tone and Tighten YouTube channel over the weekend and I started doing their 21-day program. It’s easy to follow and I learned a lot about the condition. Check it out if you’re postpartum – from what I’ve read, it’s never too late to start healing your tummy after pregnancy.
